Nature Colors - My show in Newburyport, MA at the Firehouse Theater

These are my favorite photographs of rocky New England coastlines shrouded in mist, wildlife and waterfowl in the quiet, pristine landscapes of the Eastern United States from Maine to the Delmarva Peninsula.

Let's begin in Baxter State Park, Maine where Mt. Katahdin (5,267 ft) can be hiked and viewed from many trails.

As we move south and east to Mount Desert Island on the coast of Maine the sights are stunning in Acadia National Park, from the top of Cadillac Mt. to the quiet of the Acadia Wild Garden and the dramatic ocean views.

Cadillac Mt. is the first place to see the sunrise in North America during some months of the year.
A lovely walk in the Wild Garden:

  Eagle Lake

The view from Thurston's Lobster Pound in Bernard, ME.

  Jordan Pond

The White Mountains of New Hampshire are a popular autumn destination for leaf peepers.  The colors are fantastic!

Mount Chocorua Sunrise and Silver Cascade Falls below:

Now we are seeing some of the beauty of Massachusetts:
Plum Island is a world renowned birding destination and a National Wildlife Refuge.  It is also a great place to experiment with "ocean motion"!

A horse farm in Haverhill, MA along the famous Merrimack River.

 Joppa Flats near Newburyport, MA.

Treasure seekers near Gloucester and below are two scenes from Cape Cod with it's miles of beach!

Heading south again to the National Wildlife Refuge on Assateague Island.  I'm sure you've heard of the ponies living there.  This 37 mile long barrier island is located off the eastern coast o the Delmarva Peninsula facing the Atlantic Ocean.  The northern 2/3 is in Maryland and the southern 1/3 is in Virginia.  Perfect for birding and catching a glimpse of the ponies!
